At the last CDAL group meeting before summer:(, the teams prepared “artifact boxes.” These displays illustrated (mostly through inventive, clever metaphors) what each team has accomplished so far and what they are working towards at their project sites. The teams displayed their hard work and goals by using fliers, Youtube videos, photos, objects from the respective sites, and even food. I was genuinely impressed with how creative and descriptive the “artifact boxes” were, and how each one utilized different objects to “tell a story.” Seeing these displays reaffirmed –to me, anyway- the dedication and passion everyone has for the work they are doing, and for wanting to make a difference in the lives of others.
